I mean do you really need skateboarding shoes? I have kateed for about a year with out them but if i get them will it make tricks easer ? Will it improve anything?
it is important to have skateboarding shoes because it is flat and so is the board so you get more grip. but the type doesn't really matter as long as the grip tape doesn't wear out your shoes

They dont really matter. They just help you grip a little and protect your feet better. Sometimes skateboard shoes ruin your skateboard. You can skate in sneakers and it wont make a diffrence. Skateshoes are used to make money. Skateshoes wont make you a better skater.

the reason for skateboarding shoes is that they have extra padding… for example say you have converse, those are really thin so if you mess up on your trick and your board hits your foot its going to hurt a lot, but if you have etnies or something on they have more padding and doesn't really hurt at all.
