i have a skateboard but not skateboarding shoes can i do tricks without them or do i need them?
I have never tried it myself (I've never skateboarded at all) but I saw a short movie where a bunch of kids skated barefoot including some tricks. Back when skateboarding was pretty new, many kids esp. in California rode barefoot and they used their toes to grab the edge of the board and stuff like that.

You don't need skate shoes, but regular shoes are going to rip apart.

yes you can, but you will tear your shoes to shreds……….skateboarding shoes….they were specially made to be used on skateboards, yes they are kind of expensive, but they last longer than any other shoe would on a skateboard……so i guess the technical answer to your question is, yes you need them.

Yeah you can do almost every trick without skateboarding shoes. Skateboarding shoes are meant for traction and protection, they have nothing to do with the tricks.

no, regular shoes will do but I hope you have a helmet and pads because you sound like a beginner. good luck and have fun.

normall shoes will work but they hurt your feet, i just wear my skating shoes all the time cuz ya never know when ur gonna wanna skate.

it will tear up your regular shoes in about 3 days so no. get skateshoes (spread the word about skateboarding on this site)
