i've tried to skateboard before and i liked it, and im trying to decide if i should start up again. im 14 yrs old and i dont know if thats too old to start. or for that matter were to start. like wat kinda skateboard to get, or equipment. ne suggestions would b helpful thanks.
That's how it was for me. I used to skate alot when I was 12, then we moved to the country were you can't really skate anywhere. I'm 15 now and we just moved back to the city and I picked up skating again, I love it. And I got a listen skateboard, those are good decks, they're small, light and tough, if for some reason you aren't comfortable with those, get a Plan B or a Baker or an Element, those are a bit bigger and pretty much the same quality, oh yeah and don't get one at wal mart or target those things=broken and cheap. I also recommend independent trucks. As for wheels go to a nearby skate shop or vans (in the mall) and ask them what kind of wheels and bearings would be good. They should give you some help with that. I think that's pretty much a good setup. Good luck with the skating, have fun!!

yer never too old to start anything…trust me. im 15 and i am just now trying to learn how to do a backflip on the trampoline. u dont need an expensive one ( I skate) just one that wont fall apart when u to a kickflip! shoes…regualr tennis shoes are cool. get some pads though….i broke my arm skating. also i would get some ramps to practice ur moves.

perfect age to start.thats when i started.im now 23.but anyway.most decks are about the same as far as durability.i usually go with alien workshop or baker decks.monster trucks are tuff as a boot.bearings stick with black panther,or if you wanna go pricy go with bones swiss bearings are the best.and wheels,i go with spitfire but most are just as good.remember, most tech skaters go with smaller wheels,i stuck around 54-56's.for all round skating street and what not.good luck!

i just started skating last october, i was a blader before then for about a year…i wasnt feelin it.
the younger you start the better, cus now i have to worry about school and finding a job. im turning 18 in june.
i skate plan b/baker
shoes, any tennis shoe will do fine, but they might tear quicker depending on the shoe, and how you flip your tricks.
trucks: i use krux, they are sooooooo buttery!
wheels: any wheels really, im using Hubba right now 52mm i like smaller wheels
