Can I use skateboard wheels and bearings on skates? If you skateboard, How long did it take you to learn how to ollie?

today i was riding my skateboard fast down hill. i did not do anything. no kick flips, no grinds, not even an ollie. i got home, looked at the bottom, and what do you know?! one of my trucks has a huge crack! now i got these about a month ago, peril trucks. never heard of it, but they were $40. does anyone know if they would replace them, or if not, what kind of trucks should i get? im looking at element since i know its a good company..

well first off if u never heard of a company its usually not a good idea to buy it. i suggest going to there website or the store u bought em from and ask just make sure u tell them that they cracked on there own, or that they came that way. independents are very strong trucks but like the other dude said there pretty heavy, tensor makes some strong, light trucks by using more magnesium than usual so they can take off extra weight without sacrificing strength and the magnesium is harder to bend, krux is also another good company but as for element its really just a mainstream company beginners buy because they see it everywhere on clothing. you should get a truck by a company that specializes in making trucks because if the company is only working on one part then all the effort is put into it and makes it much better.

Was it the base of the truck? Trucks have been made a lot lighter with reduced size (beef) to increase ollie height but of course this has made them weaker. Independants are strong as hell but are heavier. Pick which one is more important to you and your skating. My Indy's have lasted right down to the axle on several boards.Others I have broken in days, but damn they got pop. It could be true this could have a bad batch of trucks too.
