i tend to break my trucks or bushings when i ollie large gaps or grind ledges. i do not weigh a lot im 14 years old and 122 pounds. i have good technique too. does anybody know why this is happening? i have already broken phantom 2 and indy trucks. what are the most durable trucks?
ive been skating for 11 years and truck quality changes more than anything else in the sport. when i first started, gk was number one, but the last couple pairs i had were pos and quickly broke and the bushing was garbage. when tensor came on the scene, they were the best at the time, but i had to stop using them due to axle slippage before they were even broken in. now i use INDEPENDENT kostons or reynolds. they hold up amazingly and are lighter than my last pair of gks. weight was a huge issue with the old indys. the way they last is unprecedented, seriously.

Indy’s (Independent) are some of the most durable trucks i’ve ever used.

Independents suck bad.
Tensors, Grind Kings, and Thunders are really good.
Never get Independents.

You broke Indy’s? Independents are the bomb they are great and last forever! The only down side is that they are heavy, I know thunder and tensors and super light! But I’ve never ridden them, Rodney Mullen who designs tensors is a genius! Krux are a mix between light wieght and strength. So my moto for trucks is Krux for Trux. But get Krux 3’s they are better than the downlows. Krux trux are absolutly brilliant, they are super sick and also slick. I’ve read that ventures broke when some guy ollied off a 3 stair, that’s really really bad. I had some big 5 trucks and they broke when I ollied in gravel, even worse, don’t get those !!!
Good luck on buying trucks.
