i am thinking about building a skateboard ramp in my garden i would just like to know where to start

there is some free plans for a half pipe, if you're new to it though i'd start out with a quarter pipe instead. Youtube also has videos of how to build this stuff.

first you need to get blue prints of a half pipe to see how to make it . make sure the blue prints tell you the size of it you want.

Get a large Pike (from the fishmongers) and cut it in half
Sellotape part of it to a dustbin and part to the drive and `hey presto` a fishy skateboard ramp for you and your chums to enjoy.

If I was you I'd start by speaking to the neighbours and make sure they'll be ok with it - ramps can be noisy and they can get it torn down in a flash if you don't get their consent
Then try and get legit plans - thrasher magazine (online) has some great ones
You'll need a bit of money though - the wood can be costly
Good luck
P.s. it's a half pipe if it's vert (usually about 11 foot high) and a mini-ramp if it's smaller
