ok i need a camera good for skateboarding videos and pictures. i dont want to buy 2 different cameras (one camcorder and one camera) i just want one digital camera that can take alot of frames per second for pictures and good long videos. i also want one that takes fast pictures just for one picture not one with a lot of frames. and i need it cheap. and tell me if u own the camera or if u r just recommending it.

and once again i need it cheap. and if u guys can give me links to see the camera that would be good. o and if u guys can tell me the price that would also be good.

You have entered a field of photography that requires higher quality cameras to get "action" images. It is not unusual for a pro to have over $20,000 invested into one camera body and a fast, long lens in order to get fast continuous shooting ( 9 to 11 fps and with no shutter lag) and good tight cropping of the image. Yes, you can find good DSLR with lens right now for under $470 with a lens, but it will not shoot video.

For what you want to do, cheap and with both still and video features, you will have to be willing to compromise the quality of your images for convenience and price.

Look here for a camera with IS, 10x or better optical zoom and see if it is useable for your shooting needs.

i want to know where can i download FREEEEE skateboarding videos. Dont send me things like search in google or web pages that required some dumb registrations…

On itunes, they have several free podcasts that have skateboarding videos. To get them, all you have to do is search "skateboarding" in the itunes store, then several podcasts will turn up as results. Then, you click "subscribe" on the one you think is the best. I would recommend the Popwar podcast, Circa podcast, Kr3w podcast, DC skate team podcast, and Enjoi podcast. Once you have subscribed, you can go to "podcasts", which is located on the right side of the itunes window, and watch the skate videos. Subscribing will also download any new videos that the company makes.

I always wanted to skateboard but I have absolutely no idea what do or how to do a trick. Help pleasE!

okay the firt guy obviously didn't read your question, asking you if you can manual when you cant do any tricks. Videos do help and youtube is your best bet i'll post a link to a guy whos good at explaining stuff just click "see more from this user" to see the rest of his vids. I'll also post some sites, not everyone has friends who skateboard to fallow off from, when I first started I was the only skateboarder in my town, small rural town that was 16 years ago and no internet either so I had to learn reading magazines lol. Well good luck, watch a few vids, read some sites, ask the local skaters for some help if you need to…we don't bite. The ollie will be your first trick to learn after you learn how to skateboard. Good luck

Hey, I'm sereously tired youtubing "skateboarding", and all i get is kids doing ollies in thier driveways!! Anyone know where there are some good online skate videos or good ones on youtube? dcskateboarding.tv is a good one, but Ive watched all of those!! lol, thanks!!!

you should try it on expertvillage.com, it is a good website and has a whole library of videos for each trick:) plus you'll be getting tips from professional skateboarders

All i really want to do is feel comfortable on the skateboard and be able to jump off and on to curbs, ride down hills, things that will get me around town without having to get off my board every 2 minutes.

What are some basic equipment that would make the learning easier?

look around online like at ccs.com and they will normally tell you if it teaches the basics but what always works for me is to watch a technical video to get you pumped like "oakley our life" and the new video from element "This Is My Element" that i just ordered.
