so i was looking into buying a new deck pretty soon and i was wondering which decks have the most pop and concave…and just asking which decks are overall the best for street skating..
elements have alot of pop. also active boards. dont get an enjoi there pop is very low. mostky all boards like blind, zero, and flips.
I am looking for a 7 ply canadian blank deck for as cheap as possible. I am really just searching for really cheap blank skateboard decks the cheapest I could find is $19.99 but with shipping and gripptape and putting the gripptape on it comes out to $30.00. Does anybody know where I can find really cheap blank decks online?
ebay
Preferably 7.5-7.75, I'm like a size 7.5 in women's.
I'm new to skating so I have no idea what brand I should get, how much I should spend, or if I should buy a deck or a complete.
I kind of like Krown's designs, but I don't know what kind of board to get at all.
dont just buy a deck cause its gonna end up costing more than a complete.and dont just go on design go for feel. and no one can really tell u cause its different for every1.
like for me flip and bam boards are most comfortable for me
for u it might be blind or blank or element. its different for every1
Out of all the brands, which is the lightest? And what others would be good compared to others? My boyfriend has a Darkstar, and it is quite heavy and I do not want that for when I purchase my deck. I've been told anything from Almost to Enjoi. Overall, I hear the Uber Light is the best out there right now, compared in weight. I was going to purchase an Almost or Zero, but I want to know some other opinions first.
Which brand has the lightest deck?
Which brand would you recommend to another?
Thank you.
Uber light is really the best but its really really expensive. In my opinion Plan B would be the best.
I need dirt cheap skate decks. Like no more than 30 bucks a pop. I don't want blank ones because I just need 4 or so to hang on my wall.
Listen. They must be decent brand. No walmart crap. And preferably not ebay.
well i have a vans store in my mall, and they have like buckets and they fill them with skateboard decks and the ones in the shrink wrap are like $40 and the ones out of the wrap are $30 so i just got an element red horns bam deck for $30 and it only had like a little scratch so that is a good place to go, and they always have new ones of every brand! so if you know a mall with a vans store go there!!!
I'm a huge zero fan. Element, baker, enjoi, and Plan B are good too. Those all run around $54. I've never tried Girl or Aleind Workshop but have heard great comments about them. Cheaper boards could be Blanks and Mini Logos (around $30, no logo and basically just as good quality as the big name brands). Almost are really durable with their new shock pad things. ATMs are pretty good too. All of those are good and 60$ or lower.
I just bought this nice enjoi deck from my friend and I really like it. It works great; it has pretty good pop and everything, but sucks at ollying and i’ve only ever had enjoi decks. I kind of just really started skating again, and I would like to know what decks, wheels, and trucks are really good.
when my husband used to skate, enjois would always snap on him after like, 4 days. He likes riding bakers, and he was flowed by girl for a while, so I know they’re both good.
I made a graphic that i think would look cool for a Enjoi skateboard deck graphic is there anyway i can contact the company Enjoi and send them my idea.
if you go to your local skateshop they might accept it or send it off. but i dobt it wil make the decks honestly
money is no problem. i dont mind spending a lot on my skateboard i just need peoples prefernces which is a good deck, wheels , trucks , and bearings. im kind of a begininer skateboarding for months on a abused skateboard. i need one that is kind of light but not to light
1. Deck
Honestly, the board doesn't matter much. Almost all companies use the same manufacturing process, many even use the same manufacturer. As long as you get your deck at a real skateshop and not at Walmart or Sports Authority, you'll be fine. I've owned Powell, Zoo York, Shorty's, Real, Stereo, Zero, Toy Machine, Foundation, Maple and many blank decks whom I'm not sure of the manufacturer. They're all pretty much the same with the exception of shape and concave, which are matters of preference and shouldn't make a difference to you yet.
But,
Size matters (pun intended), if you have small feet, don't get a wide board. Ask the guy at the skateshop and hopefully he can recommened a good size, this is also somewhat a matter of preference too though.
So, find all the boards in your recommeneded size and buy the one that looks the coolest.
2. Trucks
If you want a light setup, here's where it matters. Grind Kings are super light, I personally like Tensors a lot and they're light too. Also, get a set of rubber risers, they'll make the ride smoother.
3. Wheels
Again, size matters, you compromise ride smoothness for lower weight. I personally like big 54mm wheels because they ride really smooth and fast, and don't get caught on pebbles and concrete seems. You can cut down on weight with smaller wheels though. I like Ricta and Spitfire.
4. Bearings
Anything abec-3 or above will be fine.
Final Word: To cut down on weight you may be tempted to get tiny wheels and low rise trucks that are a little lighter. Remember though, those two things will lower the profile of your board and therefore you will have less "pop", and the small wheels will give you an uncomfortable ride. Have fun and hurt yourself.
DOGTOWN is for old school, element is a bit too breakable, ZERO is for street, darkstar is for heavy skateboarders, bird house is for verd
