I need a new board. What is a good deck, trucks, wheels, and bearings. I'm thinkin an element or girl. What's ur preferance.
Element deck, any element is good i'd say. I've got a Mike V Element it is sick. I also have a Plan B Ryan Sheckler deck that isn't bad at all. The Mike V is good for 360 flips. It has lots of pop. But its a smaller deck. The Plan B isn't bad either. On my Element I have, indepdent trucks, black label wheels and reds bearings. Reds bearings are really good. On my Plan B I have royal trucks, ricta wheels and element bearings.
Ok so I just purchased a board that was a size of 7.87 or something close to that. The trucks I got were 129's recommended for 7.40 to 7.75. It's comming through the mail soon will I be fine? Or will it affect my riding?
Your trucks are actually supposed to be 1/4 inch smaller than the width of your deck, they'll be fine to use those.
Well i got a custom board and i need to know what are some good wheels, trucks and bearings?
Trucks-Depends, if you grind a lot I suggest Independent (but they are expensive and so heavy!) but for light and durable trucks at a reasonable price I'd go with ventures
Wheels-Ricta's or Spitfire's
Bearings-Reds, Black Panthers, and Lucky's (Currently I like my Black panthers over my reds, but I haven't skated lucky's yet but I hear they're good)
I want my trucks really tight first of all so I can learn more things. How do I tighten my skateboarding trucks and I would like to know how to make my skateboard trucks not squeak. Thanks for help and guaranteed 10 points.
Well first, you will see if you turn your deck so the griptape is on the floor and your looking down at the trucks, you will see right in the middle a nut that is bigger than the ones you screw in on the sides to make your wheels fit in, this along with the bolt its attached to is the kingpin area. Tighten that middle nut with a wrench and then the same to the other side. When the wrench is there, turn left, so the nut will go right. This will tighten your trucks.
Second, I don't recommend WD-40 for anything on a skateboard. I know other than wheels it should be alright, but i don't use it. Use some kind of lubricant like Tri-Flow and they should work fine. Good luck.
I just got a new Plan B board and Venture trucks with Spitfire wheels and I don't know if I should keep my wheels and trucks.
wheels are wheels…whatever you want will work, venture trucks are great trucks, light, durable and should last a long time. I'd stick with what you have.
Im buying ventures skateboard trucks and i don't know whether i should buy low or high trucks. Please tell me the difference between high and low trucks.
high man that would rock
I was wondering this today after I tightened my skateboard's trucks and my ollie's height seemed to increase. Is this common after tightening your trucks?
yes…the same goes for me its because when ur trucks are tighter they dont bent as much and you get a better pop
I am going to buy new trucks for my deck because my current ones really suck. I've been thinking Destructo or Tensor. If anone can help maybe tell me which ones are better or the name of a new brand that I should get.
if you are going to grind more than anything then get grind king they are really soft and slide nice.
realkly nice trucks are tensor which are incredibly light and last a long time.
i personally like Venture because they last forever, grind really smooth and are light
i've had the same trucks for two going on three years and im alwayys grinding concrete ledges and rails
I dont like the shape of the cruiser decks, so I was planning on getting a regular trick board complete set (wheels, trucks, and deck) and adjusting the trucks to a cruiser. Or is it possible to buy cruiser trucks and put them on a normal deck.
Either way would work. I use Indys with stock yellow bushings on my mini cruiser. You will want to use medium or soft bushings and keep the trucks loose. For cruising, big soft wheels are a must. They will go over cracks and debris easier than trick wheels and give a more comfortable ride.
like, the absolute lightest skateboard trucks, really, light.
also, which ones turn good, because mine are terrible
i dont really grind, just ollie and kickflip, i also ride around streets alot!
