plywood sheet 4'X 8'
6' 1/4pipe frame already built. its 3'h 4'w

Probably better off with two 1/4" sheets. Easier to bend..

I built a ramp, but I have hard time keeping balance. I either don't lean forward enough or if I have a decent run, I get sloppy. I had a bad crash thanks to applying to much pressure to the back. Do you guys have tips and practice techniques?

You need to apply more force on the front. if u do the back, u will either fall, or do the ramp in a manual type of way. You have to be CONFIDENT, and u cannot be SCARED. Then just practice, it shouldnt take u that long after u get confident and start applying more force on the front. remember to LEAN FORWARD..not too much, but yea, you know.

My son is 9 years old and likes to skate half pipes, pools, and a little street. How do I build a skateboard for ramps and pools, and one for street. He has one element 7.5 deck and a plan b 7.75 deck. Tell me what board size he should be using and what wheel size etc… Give links if possible.

The guy above me is all wrong, for vert you need large wheels, i would recommend spitfire 54mm or so, reds bearings, the deck should be 7.5 - 7.75 and no larger for him, and some tensor lows would be good. by build him a board i hope you mean buy him a setup because if you mean actually build one from scratch, good luck…the final product will suck.

Where can I get free quarter pipe plans online? Everywhere we look you have to pay for the blueprints.

Flip,or Element?

I find that Flip boards have a little more pop than Element boards, Personally i prefer Element over Flip. Elements are good all around skateboards and since you're going to be doing more vert than street you should go with a little wider board. Hope this helps.

ive been to a skatepark and all of the ramps look really fun but there is a big grinding pole at the top. i dont know how to get over it.

well if its a quarter pipe…u'll need enough speed, and when u get to the top…lean back a tiny bit, and u sould go over. but if u dont have enough spped…u are most likely going 2 do a rock-to-fakie or something 2 that sort

but if its any other kind of ramp….just get speed and lean back a tiny bit at the top

Right, This could take some time,
well i wanna build a skateboard ramp in ma garden, i am 14 on the 19th of may, been skating for 1 and a bit years. And i wanna know how much wood is needed, how much it would cost etc….

3 feet tall
8 feet wide
5 foot transition
0.25 inch back rails (saftey rails)
1 inch drop in board thingys
12 foot long
3 foot, from top of the ramp to transition (flat surface)

how much will this cost, will it work?i have done drawings, and it seems fine, of course there is extra saftey things, it wuld be helpful if people add this to my list ^

so yeh, how much wil it cost? how long to build, with me and my cousin (who is 19 and is good at DT)?
and is there anything ive missed, help will be GREATLYY appreciated :D

im just a skater who wants to rip it up at home dudes, so help me please xx

You could just buy a ramp or use scrap wood that was thrown out on the big garbage pick up.
