I am looking to buy a skateboard to learn on and i am ttly clueless. Is there a brand of good, quality skateboards that are of good/excelent quality if I bought it pre-owned. I dont get why people spend so much money on skateboards if they dont even know how to skate, also any tips for learning?
get a skateboard from Decked Out which sells everything you need for about $100 which is a bargain and they are good quality. or you could buy one off me http://d3k3d.deckpeck.com/.
So… Some skating tips…
When you first start out skating, search the ollie and pop-suv it, you should learn those tricks first. Also contact anyone you know who skates and they might be able to help you.
I had a skateboard a while ago, but it was really heavy, with heavy trucks and big wheels, and I got down the ollie but realized how hard it was to do everything.
Now I want to buy a brand new skateboard; light, and easy to use and practice tricks in the street?
Please help give me tips on what trucks, bearings, wheels, and board brand to get?
Thanks!
Lightest setup(used by me and most professionals)- Sliver trucks, Bones wheels, Bones Swiss bearings, and Girl/Habitat/ Chocolate deck. Very light, and great pop for 360 flips and sorts.
I would like to know how much I should expect to spend for a safe, decent starter skateboard. I live near a skateboard shop where the prices start at $125. That seems outrageous for an eight year old who has never done it, and may eventually lose interest. But I don't want to underspend either, especially if safety is compromised, or if it would undermine his interest because of poor performance. I would like to spend around $50, or less. Is that possible? Can I get a decent one at that price? Would it be safe? Can anybody suggest a specific skateboard? Thanks.
Dont listen to that guy yea CCS got skateboards but you want to make sure your kid is going to want to continue skating. you dont want your 8 yr old decide to quit and you having a 100 dollar board taking up space in ur garage and taking a chunk out of your wallet. if ur 8yr old wants to continue on thats great! but wait until the board wears out and then invest on a 100+ skateboard. just make sure he is liking it enough to continue with the sport.
best place to get a skateboard for a 8 year old would be at a sporting good store like BIG 5 and Sports Authority. has a huge variety skateboards that is less than $50. it has all the same attributes as a pro skateboard but but the quality of it is worth of a intermediate basic maple wood. its really good to start of on. walmart/ target boards are not worth the hassle. there slow and they suck.
the boards at a sporting good boards vary here are most of the styles in a sporting good store. KROWN BOARDS (bought this for a beginner and now loves skating), AIRWALK, VISION, HARSH BOARDS, POORBOY, WORLD INDUSTRIES (this board runs about 59.99+ they are very good and pretty much the closest you will ever get to a 100+ board without spending to much.)
ok so i want to start skateboarding and i want to find a site of skateboard tricks and shows you how to do them? and help?

I can grind my sidewalk but everytime I do it the board stops and I fall.
Get some candles and wax the curb so theres less friction between you and the board so you can slide, just don’t put too much though,
I just got new trucks and wheels for my birthday and when i ride them they turn to the left. i would like to know how i can change this without buying a new pair. (i arleady tried to tighten them and also tried to take ou the rubber).
its most likely your bushings. go to zumiez with your deck and ask them to replace them with the softest bushings they have
i am having a hard time with it
It took me a little bit. Once i learned the rest of the combinations fell in to place…. Keep at it, you will get it…
