im making a skate team but i need a name for it and a name for our first video for the name i was thinking 5-0 skateboards and video take 5 but i want more suggestions

Usually people name there skate teams after where they are from, and just twist it up a little. Like Zoo York. I'm not sure what kinda words you would want in your team name tho, so its kinda hard to answer.

preferably cheap and also is their are the footwear you wear important
cheapers better but good quality

check out mini logo decks, they are a blanks deck but very well made, i've been using the mini logo superlight for a couple years now and they are one of the best decks i've had and cost a lot cheaper than any name brand deck but just as good. Skate shoes are specially designed for skating they are important with keeping you on that board better, find a comfortable pair, almost all of skateboarding is trial and error you need to try things out to see what works best for YOU, we can only suggest whats good it may not be the same with you, everyone skates differently. You can find a complete built skateboard for cheaper than building a really nice one but then you don't get the best parts or get to pick what you like, you can build a good complete deck for under $100 if you shop right. If you build one stay with good name brand bearings and a nice deck and trucks at least.

I live nowhere near mountains. I’ve tried looking for areas to go snowboarding and even for lessons in the phonebook but i can’t find any (it only listed stores that sells equipment). There’s not even an indoor boarding area.

I wanna learn to snowboard so bad. Winter is coming and I dunno what to do. Otherwise, I guess I’ll stick to skateboarding…

hmm, Oklahoma is a tough spot if you wanna learn how to board. I’d suggest road tripping it (or flying if you have the cash) to Colorodo or Utah if you are looking for a real big mountain, but there are slightly smaller places in new mexico and arizona that are probably more beginner friendly and cheaper. I’d also suggest going for at least 3 days if not 4 or 5 because if you go only 1 or 2 days a year, you will never get the hang of boarding (skiier myself, but i occasionally board and have to reteach myself every time). heres a cool website that i always use to find out where the snow is and whats open: http://www.onthesnow.com/

apparently there is some skiing in Missouri but i highly doubt it’s worth the trip or the stay. If i were you id opt for a mid size resort somewhere in New Mexico, because at your distance it wouldn’t be worth the time and money to go to a tiny resort

hope this helps, and good luck with boarding

use a rotory hammer and drill small holes in it . depending on the width use blue tapcon screws or another concrete fastener

Welcome to street skating, it's my favorite skating to do without a park or anything, just go around and look for some sweet spots, there's all kinds of things to grind on or ollie or whatever you just have to look. Weather you ollie down a set of stairs or whatever man, these are things most skate videos are made up of, basic street, you don't see many vids of people in skate parks anyways.

There are so many skateboard trucks out there. But that's not why I need help, I need the size. There are lo-rise, mid-rise, 7.5s, 5.0s ETC. I need to know which size is best for my skateboard please. Is it better if you have smaller trucks?

Okay her it goes. The type of skating you do will decide what kind of trucks you have.

keep in mind that your truck length should always be the same as your board

If you skate vert or miniramp or tranny then your gonna want a wider board for more control and henceforth a wider truck. I would reccomend atleast an 8 inch board. For trucks they are measured in millimeters so you would want a 139mm truck.

If you skate street then you might want a skinnier board so that you can flip the board easier. Although if you have bigger feet it might be necessary to ride a bigger board. It's basically a trade from board control to flipping ease with changes in the width of boards. For street though, i would recommend 7.5in-8in. This depends on your feet size like I said earlier and how confortable you are on the board. For a 7.5in-7.75in board your gonna want a 129mm truck.

***it is important to have trucks the same with as your board but if they a half inch either way you will be fine.

As for high, mid, and low, this depends on what you skate also. With the low's your board will be lower to the ground and closer to the wheels which could cause your wheels to touch your board when you are turning and inhibit you from rolling (wheel bite). Although this can happen low trucks are better for people who want a little more control and are more comfortable on a board. The low's also have slightly less mass so it is easier to get more air, but only slightly. This truck is good for street skaters with more experience. As for the highs, these are better for vert, miniramp, tranny skaters because these skaters often have bigger wheels to roll faster on the ramps and they prevent wheel bite on ramps. Mids should be used for beginning skaters or someone who does a little of both types of skating.

Hope this helps. THANKS!

I bought a complete skateboard online, and one of the trucks fell apart. The trucks are monster brand, and weigh 3 lbs when the whole skateboard weighs 4. (I checked) Should I get a refund and buy lighter trucks, or just get replacements?

P.S. The company that made the trucks doesn't make any lighter trucks, just the kind I got in different colors.

Replace them with grind king trucks.
