i live in so-cal, and shop at Active. im gonna buy a custom-made skateboard, so how does the process work? (like what do i do when i walk in)

there should be people who work at the store and u can just pick the deck and trucks and bearing and wheels and sometimes they can put it together for you.

I picked an angel from the tree this year for a 13 year old girl who wants sporting equipment. That's all I know about her..no sizes or preferences. I was thinking of a skateboard, helmet and pads (I'd like to keep it somewhere between 30-40 dollars), but I am open to suggestions. I'd appreciate any!

THats really a hard thing to figure! Could you get her a variety of things? like a basketball, etc. But you arent sure if she has other kids to play that type of game with… You are probably on the right track with a single sport. I bet you could get all that for your price range at wal-mart or target. Good luck and bless you for helping others on the holiday!

i want to build a ramp for 500 where can i get the money by june im too young to get a job

well, if this question was asked back in december I would say go get a box of a thousand x-mas cards from a dollar general type store then go door to door selling four for a dollar, thats what I did before I was able to work, and made some mad cash. Also, try seeing if there is someone in your family's friends that owns a buisness. You could see if you could do janitorial type stuff for min wage, which would be some money coming in, or you could try recycling metal. Good Luck!

A skateboarder on a horizontal surface can accelerate from rest just by moving the body, without touching external support. Investigate the parameters that affect the motion of a skateboard propelled by this method.

its called a POWERSLIDE go youtube the how to video of it and learn it its easy

I am looking into starting a recycling program in my neighborhood where I will take unwanted trucks from skaters and then take them to a recycler.

Yes, they can, but there might be a better option. Think about ways to re-use them.

You could use the wheels to make toy cars, and give them to younger kids to play with.

You could even make skateboards out of them…then give them to other less fortunate kids.

I heard that independent makes good trucks, and bone swiss makes good bearings.

Indy trucks are all I use anymore, they never break or ware out they seem to be the best. I also like destructo and silver trucks. Bones swiss as you heard are very good bearings I never build a board without them. wheels don't matter except for size, urathane is urathane most of all wheels are made out of it and made the same way. I always just get blanks.

Ive looked in my local skateboard shops, and they dont have it. does anyone know where I can get it?

I've only seen it in yellow and black. It's not hard to make, just takes a little time and patience. Just get a sheet of black and a sheet of white. With a straight edge, draw the stripes diagonally on the back of the grip. Only mark 1/2 of the piece.Do this for both pieces. Cut along the lines either with scissors, or a razor blade and the straight edge. Apply the strips starting at the nose, and work your way to the tail. Cut and finish the grip the same as a single sheet.
